What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve efficiency, and to provide information to site owners. This policy explains how InboxAI uses cookies on this website and in the dashboard.
Cookies we use
We only use strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the dashboard to function and cannot be disabled while you are signed in.
| Cookie | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Clerk | Session / up to 1 year | Holds your encrypted authentication token. HttpOnly — not accessible to JavaScript. |
| __client_uat | Clerk | Persistent | Records when your Clerk client was last updated; used to keep multiple tabs and devices in sync. |
| __clerk_handshake | Clerk | Very short-lived | Temporary token exchanged during the sign-in handshake. Deleted immediately after authentication completes. |
| sb-* | Supabase | Session | Supabase session token used alongside Clerk for server-side data access. Set and cleared with your session. |
Chat widget cookies
The InboxAI chat widget that you embed on your own site uses sessionStorage (not cookies) to maintain conversation continuity within a browser tab. This data is cleared automatically when the tab is closed and is never shared with other sites.
As the website operator embedding our widget, you are responsible for disclosing AI-assisted chat in your own cookie notice and obtaining consent where required by applicable law (e.g. UK PECR).
Do we use analytics or advertising cookies?
No. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website or in the dashboard. Our analytics are derived from our own server-side data.
Managing cookies
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality such as login. You can manage or delete other cookies via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies stored by a site
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block third-party cookies entirely
Refer to your browser's help pages for instructions. Note that blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the InboxAI dashboard.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if we introduce new cookies. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
